1. We have a shopping cart facility to make your life easier. To use this, click on the button when you have selected your item to place it in your shopping cart. When you have finished shopping, proceed to checkout by clicking on the button, where you will be asked to complete a few details. If you have any problems with this facility, please let me know and I will get back to you asap.

2. We will then contact you to confirm your order and the total cost, including postage. (See information on our postage rates below). We will then mark the goods as "RESERVED" if payment is to follow, or "SOLD" if you pay directly by credit card via our secure server. Please note: It is your responsibility to check the order confirmation, especially the despatch address and details of the goods. I cannot be held responsible for items sent to the wrong address if this is not done.

3. You then need to submit payment by your selected option within 7 days: We accept the following payment methods:

Postal Payment:
  • Cheque ~ payable to "Figaroo Kids". GB£ only
  • Postal Order ~ crossed and payable to "Figaroo Kids". GB£ only.
  • Cash ~ At your own risk, please conceal well. ~ US$, € or GB£
Online Payment:

I now have a merchant account and can accept the following payment methods via the secure services of Barclays epdq.

  • VISA - CREDIT, DEBIT & ELECTRON

  • AMERICAN EXPRESS
  • J.C.B.

  • MASTERCARD
  • MAESTRO

  • Other online payment services:

    We can also accept payment via the following secure payment facilities if you already have an account with them: www.paypal.com, www.nochex.co.uk

    In the case of Paypal, we can now only accept payment if you are a verified buyer and the payment needs to be from existing funds.

    4. Once payment has been confirmed (Cheques cleared), goods will be dispatched.

    5. A payment reminder will be sent after 7 days and if no payment is received within a further 48 hours, the goods will no longer be reserved and will be released for sale.

    6. Following fraudulent activity, gift orders will be dealt with as follows, unless you hear otherwise from us in your order confirmation:

    As soon as I receive your order, I will send, by first class post, a gift confirmation letter to the CARDHOLDER'S address. This letter will include a password/code which you can then telephone/e-mail or write to me with to confirm your order. Once I receive this information, I will dispatch your parcel to the intended recipient.

    7. If you require Gift-wrap, please ask. This will be a coloured tissue paper wrap and will be free of charge. Alternatively, you can order a greetings card (£2.00 - £2.50) and wrapping paper (£2.00) which can be added to your cart from Gift Options page. This will not affect your shipping charges. We supply good quality, exquisite hand-made cards, as well as beautiful gift-wrap, some of which is from the Designers Guild. Cards will be hand-written with your personal message. Makes birthday shopping so easy!

    8. Apologies, but due to a lot of time wasters and fraudulent transactions, I am no longer able to accept orders from or to Nigeria, West African Nations or the Philippines.

    9. All orders must be made using the shopping cart facility. The only exception to this is if it is for some unforeseen reason, not functioning.

    10. If you can't see what you are looking for, please e-mail me, as due to having 3 small children, not everything is listed and I may have what you are after. If not, I may be able to point you in the right direction. I have many contacts who are always willing to help.

    11. Up to date currency exchange rates can be found by clicking on the button on every shopping page.

    12. Prices will remain valid for at least a year. Once items have been on this web site for over 12 months, I reserve the right to reduce the price. This excludes current season's items. They will be reduced in price at the end of their season. No item will be reduced in price until it has been on the web site for 28 days. We have sales in January and July.

    POSTAGE RATES

    Postage is now charged at a fixed rate as follows.

    UK & BFPO
    Worldwide

    £2.00 for the first item, additional items 50p per item.

    Occasionally very heavy items will count as two items in your parcel. These are always marked as such in the description.

    This option includes recorded delivery at no extra charge. This will insure your parcel for up to £34.00.

    For more valuable items, I recommend the U. K. Special delivery option. This is now available at the following rates:

    £5.00 for the first item, then 50p per item

    This service is complimentary for orders over the value of £150.00. (You will only need to pay the standard postage rates)

    A standard courier service via DHL is available for £11.00. If you are interested in this option, please let me know and I will send full instructions on payment.

    Local orders to the Linslade/Leighton Buzzard area will be personally delivered free of charge.

    Please note: Occasionally very heavy items will count as two items in your parcel. These are always marked as such in the description.

    For Standard service using Royal Mail Airmail, small packet service:

    First item, £3.00, each additional item, £1.00

    Items are covered for loss or damage up to a maximum of £34.00 using this service.

    For additional insurance and a priority service, please select Worldwide Insured option. This is calculated as follows:

    First item £7.00, thereafter £1.00 per item.

    This service is complimentary for orders over the value of £150.00. (You will only need to pay the standard postage rates).

    A courier service via DHL worldwide is available but the cost varies according to destination. I am always happy to provide a quote.

     

    It is with great sadness that I can no longer offer free delivery for the larger orders. This is because I have been the victim of some fraudsters.

    The rates are calculated for you automatically in your shopping cart once you have selected the required option.

    We post internationally via Airmail at the above rates. If you require a faster delivery service, then of course this will be extra and at full cost. Please just state your requirements in the optional message box on your order form. I will then e-mail you a link button to pay for any extra delivery charges.

    We post your items either the same day we receive payment, or the next day at the latest. We do not ship on Saturdays or Sundays.

    If goods are returned undelivered, and you then supply a further address, you will be liable for any postage encountered thereon.

    We cannot be held responsible for parcels lost in the post. We do obtain a certificate of posting for every item and will claim if an item is lost. You will then get a refund of any monies received as compensation. This may not be the full amount paid for the goods, as currently the maximum claim for uninsured postage is £32.00. You are advised that if you want an enhanced service that you select it and this will of course be at extra cost. Orders over £150 get insurance included with 'Special delivery' (U. K.) and 'International Signed For' (World-wide) as a complimentary service.

    RETURNS POLICY

    The following policy does not affect your statutory rights

    1. Returns notified after 8 ~ 14 days will incur a 25% re-listing charge.
    2. Returns notified after 15 ~ 30 days will incur a 50% re-listing charge.
    3. Goods returned after 30 days will NOT be refunded.

    CARE OF GARMENTS

    Washing

    Please study the wash care label of your garment carefully. If it states to wash at 30° , please do not wash at 40°. All garments have been through rigorous testing and the washing instructions are an outcome of the results. Incorrect washing can lead to your garment being irretrievably damaged. Please take care with hand washing, if the garment does not indicate that hand washing is appropriate, please do not assume that it would be safest option to do so. Remember that it is very difficult to regulate the temperature of water in a bowl. I cannot be held responsible for damage to items once they have been washed.

    JURISDICTION CLAUSE

    No contract will subsist between you and Figaroo Kids™ for the sale by it to you of any product unless and until Figaroo Kids™ accepts your order by e-mail confirming that it is dispatching your product. For the avoidance of doubt, any such contract will be deemed to have been concluded in the United Kingdom. Further, any such contract will be interpreted, construed and enforced in all respects in accordance with the laws of England, and you and Figaroo Kids™ irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

    PRIVACY STATEMENT


    All information collected is through the ordering/registration process and is in accordance with the Data Protection act 1998.
    We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998)
    We will not e-mail you in the future unless you have given us your consent, unless there is need to do so regarding your order. We will give you the chance to refuse any marketing email from us in the future.

    We do not pass your details on to any other party.
    We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service. The type of information we will collect about you includes:
    Your name.
    Address.
    Phone number.
    Email address.

    We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent.
    The information we hold will be accurate and up to date.

    LOYALTY SCHEME

    Launched on 1/1/2007, we at Figaroo Kids value your custom, so for every three orders made, you will receive a £5.00 gift voucher to be used on your next purchase. You can choose to receive these as soon as they are available, or you can save them up. You will be sent your voucher code with your order, or via e-mail should it be gift purchases that you normally make.
